Why They’re Not Saying Yes: The Surprising Truth About Offer Alignment
Jun 09, 2025When Doing “All the Right Things” Isn’t Enough
You know those moments when something finally clicks? When you realise painfully clearly—why things aren’t working out the way you expected? That was me, sitting on a discovery call with my ideal client, in my bedroom of all places (I mean, the kids were wild downstairs, I just wanted quiet!). It was all going perfectly: great chemistry, she had big dreams, I knew with every fibre of my being I could help her get there.
But then…the minute I shared my offer and price, everything shifted. I watched her energy drop like a stone. I didn’t need her to say “no”—I felt it. And in that moment, I saw myself through her eyes: I wasn’t embodying the authority or playing at the level she dreamed of reaching. I was playing small. And if I was playing small, why would she trust me to take her somewhere bigger?
Let’s be really honest, most women in business think it’s all about the price. I know, because for years I did too! You cut your prices to make it “affordable.” You stuff your offers with “bonuses” or extra sessions. But if there’s an energetic mismatch between your offer and your ideal client, you can lower your price to $1 and it would still be a no. That’s because it’s not about affordability—it’s about alignment.
How to Spot an Energetic Mismatch (and Why It’s So Common)
Are you working with clients but still nowhere near your income goals? Maybe you’re questioning whether you should add more content, try Facebook lives, or hustle even harder on Instagram. (Been there!) The truth? If your best-fit clients aren’t signing up, it’s highly likely you’re out of alignment either with your pricing, your positioning, or what you’re promising.
Here’s the sneaky way it shows up:
-
You have fantastic calls… but they walk away without buying.
-
You keep thinking you need to make your offer even more affordable.
-
You’re overwhelmed, over-thinking every little step, wondering what “tweak” will finally work.
Sound familiar?
Here’s what I learned the hard way: By pricing myself low and structuring my offer for who I thought could afford me, I was keeping myself stuck at the very level I wanted to leave behind. I was mirroring my clients’ fears instead of showing them what was truly possible. And the really frustrating part? I actually thought this was the right thing to do.
The REAL Key to Offer Alignment (It’s Not Another Marketing Hack!)
So, how do you fix it? You need to create your signature offer not from where you are, or even from who you’re working with now but from where you want your business to be and the level you want to claim as your own.
Let go of what’s worked in the past. Forget current client avatars for a moment. Step into the vision: where do you want to play? What client gets the best result from you? What transformation lights you up to deliver?
When I tried this for myself (terrified, honestly), I was shocked at how clear the answer was. Creating from that future space—not current reality—made my true signature offer obvious. Yes, it felt scary. Yes, my logical brain went wild. But that energetic alignment? The right clients started saying yes—and it felt easy. Like things were finally flowing.
Why Alignment Must Be Personal?
Here’s the thing: what’s perfectly in alignment for me won’t be for you. There’s no seven-step checklist, no “just copy my program” shortcut because YOU and your energy are unique. What works is using a simple, repeatable framework (this is exactly what we do inside Business Jam) that helps you make the right decisions for you, your clients, and your business vision.
Think of it like tailoring the perfect pair of jeans. When they fit, you feel it instantly confident, comfortable, ready to show up as your best self. But if you’re wearing jeans made for someone else…well, you can do all the “marketing” you want, but you’ll never feel quite right.
Ready for That “Easy Yes”?
My challenge to you: Don’t settle for offers that feel hard to sell, or try to win people over by lowering your prices. Get brave. Define exactly what YOU want your business to look like, who you want to serve, and what transformation you’re here to deliver. Create from that space, not from lack. Yes, you’ll feel a little nervous but that’s where the magic happens.
Ask yourself right now: What would your offer look like if you truly believed, no question, you could achieve your biggest business vision? Let that guide you. It’s time to step up and claim your space and trust me, your ideal clients are waiting for your “easy yes” offer.
Let me know what clarity this brings up for you I always love to hear your insights.
To your genuine and aligned success,
Jessica xx
